http://www.ghorayeb.com/AcuteTonsillitis.html Typically antibiotics will make it go away. I'm taking some stuff right now that I don't know how to spell. It can have a 1-2 week incubation period so I have no idea where I would have gotten it. Most people describe it as the most painful sore throat they've ever gotten yet I know I've had much worse. I could have also called the doctor sooner than most. Most other types of sore throats affect pretty far down yer throat making it painful to even breathe. Strep stays up around the tonsils. Most of the pain comes from the back of the tongue rubbing against them as you swallow. There are normally no cold symptoms associated. Ya know...they took out my adnoids during an ear infection as a child. It doesn't make sense why they didn't go ahead and take out my tonsils right then. Recovery as a child is almost nothing. Getting a tonsilectomy as an adult is supposed to be really really really painful. |
